Opera and Ballet Theatre – from Aida to Kyz-Zhibek
The Opera and Ballet Theatre brings national, classic and international music and dance masterpieces to the people of Shymkent.
The Opera and Ballet Theatre was opened in November 2008 and is one of the youngest theaters in Kazakhstan. It seats 350 spectators for a diverse cultural program, e.g. the classical operas “The Barber of Seville” by Rossini or “Aida” by Verdi or a fresh new Kazakh opera “Kyz-Zhibek” by Brusilovsky.
