Horse ride through Aksu-Zhabagly National Reserve

Lets have a ride by horse into the oldest National Reserve of Central Asia – Aksu-Zhabagly.

The National Reserve of Kazakhstan is located just an hour away from Shymkent. We went to Aksu-Zhabagly by mini bus on the motor way to Taraz.

We started our horse ride in the beautiful green Garden of Ruslan’s Guest House at a wonderful morning. The Guest House is directly on the entrance of Aksu-Zhabagly.

This time we were lazy to walk. So we decided to go by horse into the National Reserve of Kazakhstan. As Kazakh its great to use the Horse as transportation.

Petroglyphs in Aksu-Zhabagly National Reserve
One of our destinations in the National Reserve Aksu-Zhabagly was the mysterious Petroglyphs. This old stone paintings are over 4000 years old. Amazing!
Kshi waterfall in the Uiken Valley of Aksu-Zhabagly
The Kshi waterfall is also a nice stop and its great to listen the water is running down into the Uiken Valley.
