Gorgeous sunset at the town Altai
What a picturesque sunset near the town of Altai in Kazakhstan.
The low sunlight lights up the towns’s tallest buildings and makes the Altai mountains in the distance visible as dark silhouettes. The Kazakh town Altai (named Zyryan till 2019) with a population of around 40,000 people is located on the main road between Oeskemen and Katon-Karagay. It is a important mining town since a local – with the name G. G. Zyrianov – discovered a huge iron ore deposits in 1791.
