Meet Our New Partner: Altai News
We signed a memorandum of partnership in Oeskemen with our new partner Altai News at the end of June this year.
During its recent journey through the eastern part of Kazakhstan, INFOSHYMKENT is not only exploring the region but also established a new and important media partnership with Altai News, one of the leading media organizations in the East Kazakhstan Region.
The founders of the English- and German-language media platforms about Kazakhstan and Central Asia, INFOSHYMKENT and Entdecke Kasachstan, Kazakh-German couple Balzhan and Axel Monse, signed a memorandum of partnership with Arseniy Duissenov, Head of Altai News. The agreement marks the beginning of cooperation between INFOSHYMKENT / Entdecke Kasachstan and Altai News, with the shared aim of strengthening media cooperation and promoting greater awareness of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
The memorable day began with a warm and generous welcome from Mr. Duissenov and the Altai News team at their Media Center, located in the heart of Oskemen. Mr. Duissenov personally introduced us to the media center, providing an insight into the organization’s history, development, and current activities. He explained that the history of the media center began 95 years ago as a local newspaper. Over the decades, the organization has developed considerably and has now evolved into a large digital media hub with its own radio station and studio. During the tour, Mr. Duissenov also shared his vision for the future of Altai News and discussed the organization’s continued development in the rapidly changing media environment.
Following the tour, the meeting continued in the form of a conference with the participation of employees of the Altai News media center. The participants have exchanged views on journalism, media development, tourism, and international communication. We also shared our experiences as world travelers and our perspectives on tourism in Kazakhstan as our journey through the country has given us the opportunity to discover different regions, meet local people, and gain first-hand experience of Kazakhstan’s tourism potential. The conversation continued through a radio interview and a podcast with Altai News journalists, providing an opportunity to discuss Kazakhstan, travel, media cooperation, and the work of INFOSHYMKENT and Entdecke Kasachstan with a wider audience. The partnership between INFOSHYMKENT / Entdecke Kasachstan and Altai News represents an important step toward closer cooperation between media organizations working to share information about Kazakhstan and Central Asia with audiences in different languages and countries.
We are pleased to begin this partnership and look forward to future joint projects, exchanges of experience, and opportunities to present more stories from Kazakhstan to international audiences. We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. Arseniy Duissenov and the entire Altai News team for their warm hospitality and their genuine Kazakh-style generosity. Their welcoming attitude made this meeting particularly meaningful and created a strong foundation for our future cooperation.
